Arguably it has become so popular with modern technology users all the around the world because it is a new, fresh approach to real-time picture messaging and is the fastest way to share a moment with friends. Snapchat has become a must-have for many smartphone users as it is something almost everyone you speak to recently has and wants to add you as a friend on. As a user of the app, I would strongly recommend that if it is available to you then you should download it and give it a try; however I would warn that Snapchat is not one of those apps that you download, put in a folder in your phone and never use again. The app appeals at all times of the day due to its being a great, fast, easy way to communicate with close friends. It is almost a certainty that Snapchat will take up a prime position on your home screen and will soon become one of your most frequently used applications.
Of course, there are certain drawbacks to the Snapchat sensation – drawbacks such as decreased battery life on some handsets, and persistent rumours that sent photos are not really deleted ‘forever’. Still, these issues seem to have done little to reduce the millions of photos sent every single day by Snapchat users. Overall I stick with the opinion that this app is the hottest new thing to arrive for smartphone users and that it will continue to grow and develop as a company and a brand.
